GameDiscoverCo - Privacy Policy
Hello! We're GameDiscoverCo - this privacy policy should tell you what you need to know about the information we collect about you (including why we collect it and what we do with it). This information is known as "personal data". You can contact us at contact@gamediscover.co if you have any questions. Our full Privacy Policy is below, and we recommend you have a read of it.
Who are we?
We are Game Discovery Now LLC (known as GameDiscoverCo) ("GDCo"), based at 1401 21st St #10597, Sacramento, CA 95811, United States Of America. We are the data controller of your personal data under data protection law, which means that we are responsible for how the personal data we hold about you is processed. "Personal data" means any information about you or that identifies you.
What does this Privacy Policy apply to?
It applies to our website, paid GameDiscoverCo Basic and Pro services, and MCP server for accessing our paid GameDiscoverCo Pro data via API. By accessing our services, you confirm that you're at least 18 years old and meet the minimum age required by the laws in your country.
What personal data do we collect and how do we collect it?
We collect your personal, identifiable email address if you are a paid subscriber of our GameDiscoverCo Pro data set (i.e. with your consent, or for our legitimate interests), alongside an encrypted password stored by Google Firebase securely. We may also collect limited product analytics information, such as the pages and product features used, table actions like filtering or exporting data, account and company identifiers, browser/device information, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use selected third-party tools, including PostHog, to help us collect and process this analytics information. For the MCP server, we store request information including IP address and the user ID from Firebase, and the tool called, and this is stored for 7 days for anti-abuse reasons. Our MCP server does not retain and store any detailed personal information of any kind - it's simply a way for you to access our data via API in a more efficient manner.
What do we use personal data for?
We use personal data to provide an authenticated way to log in to our services, including our MCP server, via email address and password; to operate, secure, and improve our services; to understand which product features are useful; and to prevent abuse.
Do we transfer your personal data abroad?
We are based in the US, but in many cases we are required to ensure that you are afforded equivalent protection in respect of your personal data as you would in your home territory (e.g. the EU and UK).
How long do we keep personal data for?
We only privately keep your email address for as long as you are a client of GameDiscoverCo Pro. Product analytics information is kept for as long as reasonably needed to understand and improve our services, unless a shorter period is required by law or our service providers' settings. If you'd like us to remove this, please speak to your GameDiscoverCo representative or contact us at contact@gamediscover.co.
How do we keep data secure?
We have security measures in place to guard against your personal data being lost or stolen. We use industry standard procedures and security standards. However no online service can be completely secure - so please protect your personal data in your possession too.
What are your rights?
Data protection law offers certain rights in relation to your personal data. In particular, you can:
- Ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Ask us to change any information about you that is inaccurate; and
- Ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you.
If you wish to exercise any of your rights (including the ones above) or have any questions, please speak to your GameDiscoverCo representative or contact us at contact@gamediscover.co. Please be aware that each of these rights are qualified rights, meaning there may be circumstances where we cannot comply with your request.
Will this Privacy Policy change?
As our business and the law develops, it likely means this Privacy Policy will need updates too. We'll make reasonable efforts to let you know if this happens. If you have any questions about any changes, please email us at contact@gamediscover.co
